654 - Going Solo
Maybe there were an odd number of recruits the day 654 came through
because he is one of a very few who appear without being paired.
Early photos were single per per shot, but then switched to 2 per photo. In the 600 numbers, I would guess that this was the last guy in a group that day so got his pic taken without another dude next to him.
I was gifted a huge collection of these images, and they oddly start with 200-201, with no 100 series. There are four solos, including this one with two at the end of the numerical sequence and two in the middle.
