Centerfolds

For those of us old enough to remember the days before digital media, there is a special place in our hearts for the magazine centerfold.  They usually featured the best shots of the best models and were the high point of the experience.  Of course, they did have downsides such as getting worn, being hard to hide, and showing certain stains, but they were still special . . . and about all we could get.  So today is centerfold day, and nothing says "vintage centerfold" like a picture with rusty staples showing.  It reads Duane Caryle, but I wonder if it shouldn't be "Carlyle."

  1. It was the first thing a guy did when getting the magazine: Open to the centerfold photo. :-)

  2. In my childhood we did it this:were buying a magazine (not a gay theme of course), immediately take out the central page and hung it on the wall. Rust from the brackets did not have time to manifest.
If we needed photos on two pages - were buying two magazines.
I do not think that at that time gay pictures were hung in the room in houses.
I understand the model could be called by any name. Do not care whether Carlisle, Caryle, Carlyle...
As called Everett Lee Jackson (Cherokee): Evert, Evret, Evrett, etc.

  3. Model was later known as Duane Ferguson.
