Italian Day, Part 2 - the Sculptures of Stadio dei Marmi

Mussolini built so many fascist themed monuments and buildings that the Allies gave up on tearing them down after World War II and only insisted that the most blatantly political examples be destroyed.  As a result, a couple of dozen statues of nude athletes remain at the Stadio dei Marmi complex on the outskirts of Rome.  Five of them will be our art for this Friday.
