Kip Behar posed with Don Fuller in a memorable outdoor photo shoot (posing strap, alas) that no one seems to have a photographer attribution for. I have a hunch it was Bruce, but no proof.
I looked through my hard drive to see if I had any clues as to the photographer but didnt find anything about this session - however, I do have an early photo of Kip with a stamp on the back that reads "Vulcan, 706 N Cienaga Blvd. Hollywood" - there is also a model release form signed by Kip on June 10, 1956 contracting him to Dick Fontaine of Hollywood for $10 hourly - there was also an advertisement for Vulcan studios so I'm assuming that Fontaine either worked for or owned Vulcan - when I have time I'll try some research
Interesting info, thanks! My research has found that Dick Fontaine owned R.A. Enterprises, Apollo, and Zenith. Why not Vulcan, too? Let me know what you find, please.
That's likely true. Chuck Renslow of KRIS made a trip to the West Coast, and it is well documented that he photographed Don Fuller during that visit. So why not both? Windy City Media alludes to the Leather Archives as their source, and they are quite reliable.

ReplyDeleteAccording to this site these Behar/Fuller duals might be by Kris
