Joe Robinson posed for this John Graham photo in 1956.
He was an actor who was also active in judo and wrestling.
Edited to add:  Please see the comment by James IV below for a great story about this model.

  1. Joe's played a smuggler named Peter Franks in the James Bond film Diamonds Are Forever (Guy Hamilton, 1971). It was Joe's last film. After his acting career he opened a martial arts studio teaching Judo and Karate. Back in 1998, when Joe was 71 years old, he made the news from an incident in South Africa. Joe stepped off a bus and was immediately attacked by a half dozen young men wielding baseball bats. Using his martial arts training, Joe kick their asses. He seriously injured two or three of the thugs while the rest of them ran away. The incident had plenty of witnesses and made the news all over the world.

  2. Very cool story. The body of a classical god or strong man. If only there were more.
