This is Bill Stewart as photographed by Falcon Studio in the early 1960's.
The Stewarts were the Royal House of Scotland, being the Clan of the monarchs from 1371 to 1714.  The name derives from the fact that an earlier branch of the family was named as the overseer, or steward, of the estates, palaces, and castles of King Malcolm of Scotland in 1157.  Some genealogists trace both the name and the role back to Brittany, France 150 years before Malcolm.
