We don't usually think of Cleveland in terms of physique photography, but there was at least one photographer based there. David of Cleveland appeared on the scene in the mid-1960s, and disappeared rather quickly. Most of his work that I can find straddles the end of the posing strap era, and biographical information is just not out there. Anyway, today I am featuring 10 of what I think are the best of my 22 piece collection, and that 10 includes all five of my fully nude shots.
Lovely, wrestle/embrace.
ReplyDeleteMy first romance was with model from Cleveland. He modeled under the name Richard Hanick. Many years ago I had some of the prints from the photographer who took them. I now longer have them but check this site to see if they turn up. I suspect it was David of Cleveland who took them although I never met him. I met the model while attending university in Michigan.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting this very interesting personal experience. Perhaps your model friend is among the David of Cleveland photos I didn't yet post. If you would like to see them, use the contact form at upper left to send me a note, and I will be happy to forward them to you. This would be completely private, btw.
