This video clip was labeled "1917 - Advance of the Crusaders Into Mesopotamia-Diyala River-British soldiers swimming in the River Narim close to the damaged bridge at Narim Kopris."
I don't think they would use the term "Crusaders" in any modern production.

  1. Eh, mourning not even the defeat of an empire, not even really a setback. But it is an empire, the dominant culture's favorite form of government, and therefore must be mourned, even if its actual demise was during World War I.

    One would think the one lesson of World War I was that all empires are folly.
