Australian Max Dupain took this artistic photo about 1936.
Max Dupain is Australia's most well known photographer. But not for male nudes. He took a huge variety of images including many female nudes. He is best known for two iconic photographs of Australians at the beach. They are The Sunbaker and At Newport. The Art Gallery of NSW (it's really a museum, but Commonwealth countries call painting museums a gallery) has a big collection available to see online at artgallery.nsw.gov.au
