I've seen this work attributed to Arno Breker, an ardent National Socialist and the
better known of the two primary sculptors who produced Nazi public art during the
1933-45 period. It is, however, by Thorak. I think the confusion comes from the fact
that the subject of this one isn't as brutally overdeveloped as most of Thorak's work.
I have seen this sculpture referenced via a comic book or fantasy art illustration. I'm sure of it. It's on the edge of my memory.
