Lynes 1941
This 1941 photo from the Smithsonian's PaJaMa collection features George Platt Lynes.
I beg to differ, in the early 40's the waist for shorts and bathing trunks was up to the navel, and the legs were quite short. Look carefully and the area between the navel and a level more or less midpoint of the penis is less dark, the effect is stronger at the navel!
No tan lines. He must have spent a lot of time sunbathing naked.
