Lynes 1941

This 1941 photo from the Smithsonian's PaJaMa collection features George Platt Lynes.
Is he drinking from a large oyster shell?

  1. No tan lines. He must have spent a lot of time sunbathing naked.

  2. I was thinking the same thing, BD. After seeing this photo I thought he should be referred to as George Platt No-Tan Lynes

  3. I beg to differ, in the early 40's the waist for shorts and bathing trunks was up to the navel, and the legs were quite short. Look carefully and the area between the navel and a level more or less midpoint of the penis is less dark, the effect is stronger at the navel!
