Serious
This serious looking young man is standing on a terrace,
several of which von Gloeden routinely used as settings for his photos.
He was definitely homosexual, and managed to get chased out of Italy at one point because of his pursuit of young men, some of whom were likely underage. And yes, he photographed a few nude women, some fully clothed males, and the stray landscape.
Do you know if vG was homosexual? Did he do any work with anyone other than naked males?
