This is from an AMG Halloween production, but I can't remember the name (probably some
catchy take on "Trick or Treat") or whether it was a movie or a themed still series. I do,
however, remember the gag line, which was the old switch Ex Lax for chocolate routine.
Hopefully, James IV will enlighten us shortly as to the title and medium.
From the AMG film Trick or Treat released in 1962.
ReplyDeleteDavy Jones (left) discovers Shan Daymore has given him Ex-Lax instead of chocolate and is not too happy about it. An argument ensues and they have a brief tussle on the floor. But Shan realizes the error in his ways and apologizes to Davy. The guys shake hands and decide to share some real treats. That's not a euphemism.
Handsome Shan was what you would call a physical actor. In the age of silent AMG films, he constantly used his facial expressions, hand gestures and other physical movements to convey the message and his feelings. In this film, Shan put it into overdrive.
Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween, and thanks for the great details!
Delete1962 and no posing strap, very bold from AMG. The model (Shan) is also oiled down.
ReplyDeleteIIRC, the posing strap went back on when there was the possibility of a frontal view.
