Danny Lyon used the numeral 2 instead of spelling "two" to title this image of interracial friendship in a Texas prison from 1968. Although not officially segregated, the prisoners tended to group by race. Of course, there were exceptions, and I wonder if these two had a "special" relationship.
This is my favorite image of the series. Their friendship was probably special in a few ways. I'm running out of words to describe your amazing work on this blog, so I'll just say thank you for this series.
