Body Typing Studies

Today we look at eight sets of body typing photos of World War II recruits.  This is an odd group because the format fits neither the Fort Sheridan Army type, nor the Saint Mary's Pre-flight School of the Navy.  If I had to categorize these, I'd go with the Navy because of the lighting and the grid applied over the photos.  Most of these still extant hav the names and dates cropped out, so I'm including two that are closer to the original, including this one of Cadet Noonan.

  1. Jerry, I'm puzzled by your comment, because these all fit the St. Mary's format exactly: rulers on the left and top sides with the cadet's name and date on the left, and a grid overlaying the photos. Sometimes the rulers and name on the left and top are cropped off, but you can always tell from the grid. I have some of these in my collection, and I'll identify the ones that I can.

    1. While the cropping makes them look different, the biggest difference is that this group is fully nude while most of the ones I've seen wore jockstraps. I did say I thought they were Navy.

    2. There was a book of these in the Navy base library in Yokosuka, Japan, but the guys were in jocks.

    3. Oh, and a fine example of male glutery in this one.

    4. The great bulk of my collection of these shows men in jocks. And yes, this one does have a fine backside.

  2. I always admire low-hanging balls, so that's what caught my eye!

    1. Click on the "Low Hangers" label in the column at right, and about 120 other pictures of this sort will appear.
