A little over a month ago I posted a photo of Tex Murdock in a 70s porn star set. That prompted several requests for a full series on him, and I'm only too happy to oblige. Although he started modeling in the 70s, his career really hit its stride in the 80s. On an interesting side note, an early magazine piece quoted him as saying his nickname had nothing to do with geography as he
had never been south of Connecticut until he started his modeling work.
Tex Murdoch and Paul Gerrior were the kings of the hyper-masculine look.
ReplyDeleteJim French had a discerning eye to say the least.
As far as his name Tex goes, we also have Cal, Dakota and Arizona.
In grade school we had a kid named Vermont -lol.:)
A whole stable of ultra-masculine models was one of Colt's keys to success.
DeleteI wonder if Mr, Murdoch is still alive? I'd love to see a recent picture.
ReplyDeleteI certainly hope he's living, and I share your desire to see a recent photo.
