Arthur Outlaw painted this at the Slade School of Art in 1914, winning first prize in a competition. While researching Mr. Outlaw, I came across the quite recent pictures below of Arthur the Outlaw, a graphic story character. These are labeled "Arthur gives up the outlaw life to become a circus strong man." Who says they aren't making any good art these days?
