For some reason, Jerry Lawler (left) and Jim White (right) were almost never photographed
without their manager, Sam Bass. That may have been in their contract, or perhaps they were
trying to piggyback on Mr. Bass' reputation as a wrestler himself. Interestingly, he had
the same name as a 19th C. Texan outlaw, but from all I can tell, that was his real name.
