Classic Repeat
I can think of no better way to end a series celebrating the genius pairing of Tony Sansone
and Edwin Townsend than this repeat of my personal favorite photo.
Tony was admirable for his willingness to show his uncircumcised peter, and his beautiful body, in so many poses. Do you know if he ever posed with an erection, or got hard during any of these photo shoots? He and Townsend were true trailblazers in the field, and I am glad I get to enjoy these works. Thanks for a most excellent post, Jerry!
You're welcome, Pat! I share your feelings, as do many others. Our of the five thousand photos I've posted over the years, this one consistently turns up in the top ten viewed, often number one.
Another stunning image. I also feel quite emotional, viewing images of Tony. His body inspired me to model. A living Michelangelo statue. I assume there isn't any film of him?
He only appeared once on film that I know of, and that was in the 1929 movie, Glorifying the American Girl. It's free on youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzkektGEzWU and he appears in a static tableau at 1:05:40 and again in the final review at 1:30:10 It's hard to pick him out of the crowd in either scene, and the role was uncredited. You'd think he might have been filmed modeling or exercising, but that wasn't how such activities were marketed back then.

ReplyDeleteI've never seen Mr. Sansone with an erection, and I have a couple of hundred pictures of him. Glad you enjoyed the set!
DeleteI find it difficult not to get a bit emotional when viewing their work together. The beauty and brilliance is timeless. Thank you Jerry.

Wow. Thank you. I think I spotted him.
ReplyDeleteGlad to help you, David. I think he was the guy with the metal armband.
DeletePre Hay's code Holywood too. Yup, that's him...I think. I wonder if he was one of the "lost souls" in the 1935 Dante'e Inferno?
