On my September vacation in Europe, a friend and I followed up a week in Vienna with a week in Rome. We chose a cloudy day to visit the Capitoline Museum and its amazing Classical sculpture exhibits. The show starts outside with Castor and Pollux guarding the main entrance.
I personally took all of today's photos, so blame me if any are off quality.
Very nice! Looks like a really nice vacation. Exquisite.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was nice.
DeleteI have to say Rome is probably my favorite city - and quite walkable. We took a bus out into the burbs from our hotel near Termini and walked to a catacomb and church which was on the Apian Way and walked back into town on that ancient road. Pics and memories to last a lifetime. You have a great blog!
ReplyDeleteMy friend and I spent an entire day hiking the Appian Way, and it was well worth the effort. Thank you for your kind words about the blog.
Delete+ tutte le strade portano a Roma, il Museo Capitolino è una tappa obbligata per i turisti.
ReplyDeleteI found it far more enjoyable than the Vatican museum.
