Christopher George
Watermelon eating actor Christopher George was the Man for June in 1974.
My all-time favorite centerfold in Playgirl. Besides the magazine article, he never talked much about this part of his career. He appeared on 5 episodes of the game show Tattle Tales in December 1974 with his wife, Linda Day George. You can find the full episodes on YouTube. Whenever the celebrity guests were interviewed about what they had been up to the past year, his centerfold layout was never mentioned. I'd like to know if he told the producers he would only guest star as a participant if they agreed not to bring it up. Would love the back story of this photo shoot.
Anybody remember him from a 1965 episode of "Bewitched?" He played George, the warlock, a former paramour of Samantha. Endora invited him to reconquer Sam. He was so sexy. My 7 year old mind thought he wore the tightest pants next to Robert Conrad on "Wild, Wild West." Imagine my delight as a teenager to discover "George" in the pages of Playgirl!
I admire his confidence in doing this. Any idea how much he got paid for it!
ReplyDeleteNo clue, but being a celebrity he probably got above average pay.
DeleteI remember this one, all I could think of was how lucky Lynda Day George was!
ReplyDeleteI was so amazed that someone I'd seen on TV was full monty that I didn't even thnk of his wife.

ReplyDeleteIt does seem totally odd for a show called Tattle Tales not to bring that up. Thanks for letting us know!
