This beautiful painting looks Mid-Century, but that is just my hunch. It was found in the collection of a deceased gentleman with no artist's name, no title, and no date. The estate sale auction house even hired an expert to try to decipher the indistinct signature, but to no avail. I love it.
Too bad it's unknown. I like it a lot
ReplyDeleteMy favorite today, it's superb!
ReplyDeleteEasy to see why, Albert.
DeleteThere is a Midsummer Night's Dream quality to this. Walking under the cover of darkness on a carpet of wildflowers makes it all magical. Love it.
ReplyDeleteHow could an artist that good be unknown?
DeletePerhaps he was a young lad the gentleman had as a house guest one summer on the lake. Sometimes I let my imagination run wild.
ReplyDeleteI do that all the time.
