You must have cared a lot for this friend, Jerry. It shows in your sober and respectful comments. A very beautiful series that you share with us, thank you...
Yes, he was special, Albert. He not only shared with me his amazing collection of photos, but he also helped me edit my old family photos (as far back as 1850) for a book I published. Surprisingly, he took greater interest in the women than the men, saying their strength of character showed in the photos.
This was very touching. I am always thinking of friends who are no longer here and the memories they left that will always be with me until we meet again. Beautiful set Jerry, and thank you.
Is it just me, or is anyone else getting a definite hustler vibe from this guy? I’m thinking that we now have photographic proof that the world’s oldest profession has always existed for men. And thanks for sharing Ken and your collections with us. I feel as though I’m getting to know him a little better through you.
I understand where the hustler vibe comes in. There is a definite seductive element there. I'm happy to share my memories of Ken because he still lives on in a way when we marvel over his collection.
Reminds me of what Oscar Wilde called the "glamour of youth".
ReplyDeleteYes, it looks like a 1920s movie star glamour shot.
