Gay Film Festival

For several years Pat Rocco held a gay film festival at LA's Park Theatre.  Most of the films were his own, but he did include other film makers at times and even had an amateur competiton.

  1. 68 to 72 those were the days in L.A.
A time of experimentation and wild change and yet you still saw a few people dressed and living like we were still in the late 50’s and early 60’s. You would still see old men in suits with fedoras and even some younger people dressed in old style clothes. While myself and the with it crowd wore loud print shirts and flared, tight fitting pants.Driving around L.A. was a hoot, especially for me in a push-button galore 1961 Chysler New Yorker ! That car could sit six in comfort and fun trips around L.A. to the beach with friends was common. :)
Rocco’s Park Theater seemed sleazy in those days, but was just an old harmless movie house and was great fun with his shows.
Miss those days, but not L.A.’s eye watering, lung hurtin’ smog….:)
