  1. In 1892 Stuck would co-found the Münich Secession, the spearhead of the art nouveau movement in Bavaria and the German speaking world. Through it Stuck influenced Schiele and Klimt of the Vienna Secession and the creation of Jugendstil, the German version of art nouveau with its own characteristics. His influence also extended to the 1911 Worlds Fair in Turin, Italy and by extension stile Liberty, the Italian version of art nouveau. When Stuck was a professor at the Münich Academy of Art among his students were Kandinsky and Klee. All this activity by Stuck made Münich a rival to Berlin and Vienna in the German art world. Later, Stuck went on to influence the early art-deco style in Germany. Stuck was a very accomplished Bavarian in a Germany administered by Prussians.
Prussian conformism rivaled by Bavarian joie de vivre in the German art world….:)
