Oh, dear.  They must have found something nasty on this guy because they're slathering him with some sort of of solution using a wallpaper paste brush while he's holding his shoes.  

Plus, it's dripping off a most delicate part.  The poor guy at right looks like he's thinking,  

"How the hell did I get this job?"
