This is a composite I made of four Eakins nude photos of Bill Duckett, one of Walt Whitman's lovers and caregivers.  Eakins also photographed Whitman, but there is some disagreement among experts as to whether a panel set of nudes purported to be Whitman is actually him.  Duckett was considered by Whitman's friends to be opportunistic and might be called a hustler by some today.
