Thomas Eakins' Technical Studies

While much of Thomas Eakins' photographic work was done in nature and quite artistic,
he also did a large number of studies in which he photographed the same model from a number of different angles, sometimes as many as nine.  Today I've created some composites of five models showing each of them in the same three basic positions.  This fellow is unknown.

  1. I wish we knew how he was. he seems to be familiar with modelling. So perhaps a regular.

    1. He doesn't seem to appear in any of my other Eakins photos, but that doesn't mean he didn't do more modeling. Muybridge was working in Philadelphia the same time, and he may have worked for him.
