Wally
Wally Grimme got some nice comments when he appeared here during British Beef Week.
Most of his work was for Scott of London, but this photo had no photographer listed.
While there is much to admire in this and other physique photos of Wally Grimme, I have to admit that it's the (clothed) portrait photo of Mr. Grimme you previously published that still does it for me every time. One of the best example of the 'less is more' approach that you've published, Jerry.
Yes Peter I have to agree. The sweater picture makes him look like a screen idol, more so than Tab Hunter. If Lana Turner was the sweater girl , Willy Grimme is the sweater boy ! - Rj inthe IE
Hi RJ. Good to hear that there's another fan of Wally Grimme and his sweater. I think he looks gorgeous in that photo. Very much a screen idol look and I did get a Tab Hunter vibe from it too. Wally and Lana Turner would have made a handsome couple in their sweaters ... although from what I've read about Miss Turner, I suspect that she would have rid Wally of his sweater and his pants in no time!
Peter, cosidering Lana got a piece of of that slab of beef Lex Barker, I could see her going for Wally Grimme. And do they still make nice sweaters like Wally had ? -Rj/IE
