It's time for a military series, and all of today's photos were either contributed by Larry K or found though leads and links he provided me. We start with some First World War American inductees getting showered. There's a link to Larry's blog in the last panel of today's series.
My impression is that the installation of showers in American homes really took off after WW I since many men had used showers in the military and/or college and liked the experience and the convenience-Dee Exx
ReplyDeleteThey didn't become common in homes until the late 1940s, so maybe it was WWII instead. And yes, several histories of indoor plumbing in America have been written.
