Back in the days of 35mm film photography, contact sheets were a "down and dirty" development process where an entire roll of film would be quickly processed and printed. The photographer would then go back and mark those good enough for full quality processing and printing. I recently came across a large collection of Andy Warhol's contact sheets, and today's series is drawn from them. We start with a rather handsome male with tan lines, a watch, and a mustache.
This seems to be the best of a dubious lot.
ReplyDeleteAndy Warhol only published a small fraction of all the thousands of photographs he took over the years. So you don't always get the quality when we go back to contact sheets like this because chances are most of them were never seen outside the studio until now.
DeleteI like this one a lot.
ReplyDeleteI like it, too.
