Jim Horn (the blonde) seems to have some real appreciation for Bill Grant's impressive physique.
There is another model named Bill Grant who also worked for AMG.  He was a white guy with a rather more naturally proportioned body, not that any of you are likely to find fault with this one.  The African-American Bill Grant was a successful competitive bodybuilder who went fully nude for Mizer.

  1. I usually do not fall for the AMG shower photos , having seen too many of them but this one is pretty exciting ! Thanks Jerry .

    1. I know what you mean, Jean. It doesn't take too many of them to become bored, but this one is special.

  2. Bill WAS superb at this point in his bodybuilding career. When he went "really" pro his physique became TOO built, along with all the other pros in the late 70's and 80's. But I had no idea that he posed fully nude for Mizer, not just by himself, but in the shower with another nude guy. In a frankly homoerotic tableau. You don't read about that on his official web page!

    1. Yes, it's standard procedure for these guys to omit the nude modeling component of their resumes. You would think that in the modern era the so-called stigma of nude modeling wouldn't be such a big deal, but it even gets left out of obituaries when it is arguably the single biggest thing some of these individuals were known for.

    2. TBH, in the sports world, nudity is more stigmatized than ever. These days, it started with high school in the 90s, but now you have articles just inventing new locker room taboos. Meanwhile, I'm like "Guys? It's a shower."

      to;dr: Reject modernity, embrace tradition.

  3. I've known a few competitive bodybuilders over the years and most of them have expressed concern/fear over what could happen to their careers/"hobby" if one of the bodybuilder organizations didn't like some aspect of their training. Strangely it usually didn't have anything to do with their obvious "juicing", but more towards their nude posing. All the old guys (40's thru mid 60's) had nude vanity shots, but something happened late 60's or early 70's when a few guys were disqualified and/or sanctioned by one organization or another for what was described to me as "unprofessional behavior". Supposedly the ownership of publications, gyms, bodybuilder organizations, etc. was tightly controlled by a small group and they were homophobic as well as greedy. These guys were mostly straight but were very fearful of being branded gay (and untouchable) by the bodybuilder media and organizations. They lived by their (always changing) rules and used their photographers and media....or else.

    1. The stigma factor was and is real, and I suppose some of these bodybuilders are afraid of being stigmatized even well beyond their retirement from competition. There are some rare cases such as Ed Fury, supposedly still living at age 92, who don't seem bothered by it. Several of his bios mention his early modeling, much of which was done nude.

  4. Ed Fury was known to be bisexual (how widely known is debatable) and his acting career suffered from it, unlike Steve Reeves who was straight. Ed also didn't compete in bodybuilding on the same level as Reeves. Even if Reeves did come out as gay, he was such a legend that the threat of taking away his titles wouldn't have happened. Although I have no proof (and wasn't offered anything other than gossip) of any LGBT bodybuilder being stripped of their titles, these guys lived in fear of it happening to them. This was the "common knowledge" in the bodybuilder gyms I was a part of back in the 80's and 90's, and I doubt it's much different today.
