Over the years I've been collecting vintage physique images, I've encountered about a score of photos by a photographer named Rod Crowther.  The pictures are quite good overall, and my only complaint is that there aren't more available to share.  Biographical information on Mr. Crowther is scarce, but it seems that he was active from about 1958-1966 and distributed his photos from a P.O. box in Washington, D.C.  A California database of gay themed photography says that he lived and
worked in Chevy Chase, Maryland.  If any of you have any more information or photos to share,
please contact me.  You will be warmly thanked and credited for your help.  We start our
series with this outdoor shot of Bill Labatte.

  1. At first glance, I thought it was Johnny Sheffield. Still a great image.

    1. Did you mean George Sheffield? I looked him up, and there is a resemblance.

    2. It was the actor who portrayed "boy" on Tarzan and from Bomba, the Jungle Boy.

    1. He does a bit. At first I thought he was just hung that way. But now I suspect he, like many models got excited being photographed and this is as he shrank. I think, aesthetically shots like this work well, as his penis, especially with the enlarged head somehow becomes part of his musculature.

    2. I agree that the shot works aesthetically, and the package is part of the package.
