My source says that actor George O'Brien posed for this photo while on a trip to Paris in the 1920s.

  1. I have heard that he had done a few art physique nudes.

    1. I found three or four that look like they were all done in the same session. I'll post others later.

  2. Beautiful body. What might account for the orange tinge to this photo?

    1. That is a typical effect of aging on old prints that used a particular chemical process involving acid. Some 19th century prints used albumen (egg white) as a paper coating, and that was really prone to yellowing. Being 20th C., I'd say this one was acid based, however. Sometimes yellowing is so bad that one can hardly make out the image. I use software to remove it in those cases, but generally put a disclosure note in the caption.

  3. Love this capture. George was such a handsome man; he aged very nicely, too, and continued acting into his 60s. For your followers who may be unfamiliar with him, I would recommend you look him up on Google images. Big and handsome and pretty and masculine, all rolled up into one!
