Jerry Sullivan

Finishing our equestrian series with a model, Jerry Sullivan, whom
I have featured in other photos before.  This one is by Bruce of LA.

  1. Not the most comfortable of positions and that horsehair must scratch but Jerry Sullivan is one handsome, hairy guy. I guess he's wearing the famous Bruce of LA cowboy boots? Bruce got his money's worth from them!

    1. Yes, those are the famous boots, and you're right about the position. I would add that both Mr. Sullivan and the horse had to be quite steady and patient to get this shot. We had horses on the ranch where I grew up that would never work for this.

    2. I would love if you do a write up and post photos of Chuck McAmish. He did a film with Jerry Sullivan called "Angry Sailor & the Artist" that was made in 1965. It had the best and most powerful wrestling that I ever saw in an AMG film. Only film I ever saw Jerry Sullivan dressed as a Sailor. I think McAmish made 6 AMG short films all in 1965. I searched for him on your site but found nothing. I would really like to know if McAmish modeled anywhere besides AMG and any background info you can provide. I think he is a perfect Model for this site and hope you will consider my request. !

    3. Great suggestion, and I'd be most happy to post something on him. Problem is, I have nothing at all in my database. So I went on line and discovered that he had also worked for Bobco. Multiple searches have produced nothing more. Sorry!

    4. Bobco is Bob Carr? Did he use the name Chuck McAmish for Bobco or another stage name? I have never seen Chuck in any photos but AMG.!

    5. Yes, Bobco is Bob Carr. According to my source, McAmish used the same name as with AMG.

    6. TY. If you ever decide to post about Chuck McAmish there are several good photos I have seen from AMG. Men from Back Then posted 2 photos today of Chuck with Jerry Sullivan from "Angry Sailor & the Artist." I like how you research and give us background info and I really like to know more about Chuck McAmish. And I love to know about McAmish at Bobco. Chuck & Jerry were the best wrestlers I ever saw at AMG.

  2. I agree with Anonymous, the pose looks uncomfortable and that horsehair must have scratched like crazy. But it is nice to see a handsome hairy male...the pose makes his low hangers easy to check out.

    1. Yes, sometimes the effort and discomfort of a difficult pose pay off. Sure did this time!
