Two men, one horse
I guess they had to take turns riding the horse, there being only one.
Riding without a saddle can be challenging; riding double that way even more so. I wish we had more photos of this session, but can't seem to find any. The effort and investment in time and/or money to obtain a horse makes me think a whole series would have been made.
Gives new meaning to the term "bareback riding". That doesn't look like the horse is bridled, either. At least I've never seen a bridle like that. You've got to be a real good horseman to ride like that.
Sharp shadows here. I wonder if at some point they rode together. It could have been fun that way!
