I can't seem to find any info on the back cover, and that's a shame because the models and the lighting are both excellent. I hope you've taken the time to read the text passages in this edition of Butch, because they give us a window into an exciting and transitional time in the both the world of male nude photography and the wider world of gay life in America. And once again, my sincerest thanks go to Tim T. for his amazing generosity in donating the hard copies of so many publications.

ReplyDeleteJerry, this is fascinating. When did they start showing men with hard ons in magazines? I know Milo and Bruce took and sold such pics, if only on the sly. But were men in rut shown in publications when the ban on nudity was lifted?

DeleteThat was not just a feast for the eyes, it was very interesting social history as well. You know how much I enjoy a full magazine and so thank you for an afternoon enjoyably spent.
