Color
I was tempted to digitally restore the color in this photo of Mr. Kolinski,
but I decided to leave it as I found it. We'll see the inverse of this pose shortly.
You really are spoiling us, Jerry, in the nicest possible way. I'm loving this popup series. Mr. Kolinski is something very special - a superb model. This is probably my favourite in the series as it's nice to see him in colour but I'd be happy to see any photo of Mr. K.
Glad you enjoyed the series, Peter! I only have a few photos of Bob Kolinski that I haven't already posted, but I'll try to get the rest on in a future series, perhaps with a few judicious repeats. I'm sure you won't mind.
I rather like the faded colour. A memory of an era I remember. I'm sure many of us will have photographs like this. Sadly not with the stunning Mr Kolinsli. The use of colour somehow brings forward and isolates his body within that very popular "faux baronial" interior. In a way that monochrome would not. That khaki posing pouch gives a hit of a military man, fitting in with the interior. Love it.
Now I'm really glad I left it as I found it. And your note on the pouch is spot on! It really does add what I now know to be a key element to the overall effect. Isn't it wonderful how a small component can have such impact?
