Bellows
Going indoors, urban, and monochrome for this one by George Bellows from 1917.
There's a lot going on here. Things could have gotten interesting.
It is interesting that Bellows is the only artist from the Anglosphere today, and he sites his contribution indoors.
ReplyDeleteI've posted a lot of male nudes painted by Englishman, and they are, iirc, all sited indoors. Most are academic pieces for that matter.
