Rock Pamplin
This photo of Rock Pamplin is an example of the folded posters Playgirl sometimes enclosed in the magazine. I have to say Mr. Pamplin has that classic look for both the publication and the era.
Probably about 20 years ago, Pamplin was advertising himself as an escort in the classified section of "Frontiers," a Los Angeles gay magazine available for free at bars, bookstores and other LGBT-friendly businesses. Haven't heard much about him lately but I believe he was Playgirl's most popular model.
Indeed, such a classic look of that era. I assume the publishers researched the "type" women of the day favoured? Ironically, influencing the lifelong tastes of many young gay men, like myself. I still love that sort of tache.
It's tough to believe that "Rock Pamplin" wasn't a stage name. Regardless, Mr. Pamplin has what it takes, so to speak, to qualify for the title "MAN."
