George M. MacLeod, M.D.
Not all who were lost were fighters. George M. MacLeod was a medical doctor who tended
the wounded as part of a mounted ambulance corps. He died of pneumonia contracted
while serving at the front, and his death was counted as a war casualty.
What a lovely photo, he looks so serene and calm. It brought a tear to my eye.
ReplyDeleteI had the same reaction, Pat.
