Off center
I can't think of any reason for the model to be off center in this one, but that's probably more of a reflection of my OCD than any justifiable artistic criticism. It's a good picture.
Yes, your OCD is not working well today. I love it just the way it is, and I have some OCD features as well. Perhaps my own treatment of contrived situations is working?
My 1st thought seeing him was David Asnis. However, when my eyes glided down mid-picture, I changed my mind. (Hmph). I think B.B. is right, and I also have him as Joe Lauriano.
Photographers will sometimes shoot off center to capture your immediate attention. If you’re looking through a photo gallery, this will immediately stand out. Or he could just be avoiding some junk out of the photo.
The asymmetry works beautifully here. When does this photo date from?

ReplyDeleteSymmetry isn't everything. Sometimes it's nothing.

ReplyDeleteAsnis was a New York model, but you didn't need to know that to figure out this wasn't him. lol.
