I wonder if our subject here knew any of the people depicted on his skin.
The two men trying to beat each other's brains out at the bottom is from a painting by Goya. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fight_with_Cudgels. The heads in profile on either side also look vaguely familiar, though I've no idea why.
It’s like his skin was perfect for tattoos. They are all very defined and stick out.
