Farmers?
The tan lines of the man ar right make me think he worked outdoors most of the time
in a short sleeved shirt with a hat. Perhaps this is a farmhouse kitchen.
I like this series. There are many excellent images. Good work, Jerry. By the way, if they are farmers and they are indeed in a farmhouse, this photo will... ring so many bells for me.
I never see wallpaper in new homes today. The style that is on the walls of that Kitchen make me think 1940s maybe 1930s. It is hideous to my 2024 eye but dates the room well. The Man on the LEFT does not have any tan lines which makes me think he worked shirtless outside all the time. He is super thin and looks young also.

ReplyDeleteGlad you liked the series, Leroy. The more I look at the men and the backdrop, the more I think they are farmers.
DeleteThe wallpaper looks like that found in a farmhouse. Family photos from the 30’s and 40’s of farmers have similar backgrounds….:)
ReplyDeleteExactly.

ReplyDeleteGood observations.
