Earlier this year I received an amazing digital collection from viewer jstrand, and I previously
posted some Wyngate and Bevins magazines from it. There is a lot more on that thumb
drive thatn just W&B, however, so today we will look at some material from Colt,
starting with a model known as Rex.
Thanks a million to jstrand!
Thanks, JStrand! I was c a steady Colt fan, and I don't remember ever seeing an uncut man. Were there many, Jerry? Big Dude

DeleteI was a huge fan of the Men of Colt in it's heyday. Colt gave us well-built but "natural men" in a variety of poses, many of then more relaxed like this one. Often they were smiling. Then we moved on it seems...
ReplyDeleteI agree, VV! Colt men were a refreshing alternative to all the twinks that flooded the market after liberalization in the late 60s.
DeleteI’ve been a Colt fan for over 40 years!
ReplyDeleteMe, too!
DeleteRex, bel homme désiré
ReplyDeleteJim French, maestro de la forme masculine
Early Colt image, either taken in New York or when Jim French would visit California, no doubt for the fine men. :)
It didn't take Mr. French too long to realize he needed to move to California.
DeleteYou present such fine images of men, merci beaucoup :)
DeleteThank you for the nice compliment!
DeleteMany thanks to jstrand for making this digital collection available to you!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks, Jerry, for posting this beautiful selection of classic COLT photos! Please post another batch soon!

Jim French set the masculine standard for physique photography after the golden age of Lon, Juleff and Bellas.
ReplyDeleteSexy Rexy being a case in point during that transition era 1967-1972….:)
Thoroughly enjoyable series. Thx ...
