Cartier the Boxer
Although I have posted other photos of boxer Walter Cartier by Stanley Kubrick, I did not have this one that Albert published on his blog. The year was 1948, and Kubrick worked for Look Magazine.
Cartier sourit parce qu’il sait qu’il à un joli derrière :) The boxer Cartier née McCarthy was an Irish boy from the Bronx, that tough quartier would turn anyone into a fighter. Walter Cartier reminds me of our Marcel Cerdan.
