Red II
Mr. Stellar called this one Red II, and it's from 1984, quite late in the Piers history.
I believe they started demolishing the location shortly after this.
The piers were so dilapidated from rot and neglect, that they had to be demolished for saftey’s sake. They had incidences where walls and ceilings collapsed injuring and killing a few men. Others got hurt walking on roofs that collapsed. In part that’s what made the piers a thrill for some and a deterrent for others as it was with the sex out in public. Rex in DC
Sweet cheeks in his red shorts in the warehouse. Like the famous photo of Gloria Swanson with her red boa in the ruins of the Roxy Theater in NYC. Both symbols of an end to two eras….:)

My favorite photo from the series, but there are others.
ReplyDeleteI also like it very much.

This would be a favourite, the end of an era.
