Served a term or two as mayor of West Hollywood. Last I heard, he was selling ultra-high end real estate in the Los Angeles area.

What ropes and pulleys ?
Disassembled block and tackle. The ropes are on one side of his shoulders, and the pulleys are on the other.
Ah, yes...now I see them...I was a little "distracted"..
