Denny Denfield's amateur status kept him from the legal traps that many of his professional peers faced. Perhaps as a result, he didn't do all that many of the derriere photos that would pass the censors. This magnificent color shot is a noteworthy example of what he could do in that regard.

They couldn’t go after private photos.
ReplyDeleteDenfield was a master of color photography. With celluloid film at that time it was difficult to get the proper saturation and tones when utilizing your own darkroom.
Working with celluloid film is becoming a lost art in our digital camera age….:)
While there are still photographers around who use film of various types, they are few and far between.
